Volcanic
Spa ResortThe St. Teresita Day-Spa is tucked away on a 3.4 Acre plot (14.000m2) at the outskirts of Village Amatitlan, near the Lake of the same name. Its unique architectural structure – a fusion of Maya and Mediterranean style - is entirely built with volcanic stones, giving it a sober and authentic character, in total harmony with the volcanic area.
From its upper terraces it offers a panoramic view over the Amatitlan Valley. Once inside behind the high stone walls, you feel like you are carried away into an oasis of wellness and tranquillity. The air you are breathing is totally pure, plus you'll never be cold because the Amatitlan Valley enjoys a mild micro-climate all year round.

St. Teresita Health Spa has been founded and managed by the same family for 45 years, with the same dedication to friendly and personalized service. Its 5.900m2 (7,050 sq.yards) facilities have recently been renovated, in the same volcanic style to preserve its unique character.
Its natural hot mineral waters spring up from underground wells, naturally heated by the nearby presence of Volcano PACAYA, at a temperature of 62C to 70C (144F to 158F), cooled by natural refrigeration tanks.
Until now mostly Guatemalans themselves have benefited from its healing waters and have enjoyed some of the same therapeutic treatments which are still widely practiced by the Maya today.
After your immersions in the thermal pools and your spa treatments (mud baths, steam rooms, hot mineral tubs, flower baths or aromatic massages), you will be happy to relax outside in the sun, or in the tranquillity of the indoor lounge, where you can indulge with natural drinks and fruit juices. Resting after the baths or after your treatments is highly recommended and forms part of your wellness holiday.
A variety of spa treatments are available to you.
